Sunny days have been few and far between here in Washington state, but I do know that all this rain will be worth it when my dahlias are in full bloom, and we have a garden full of fresh veggies this summer.

As it was pouring down rain a few days ago, my toddler asked if she should get out her gardening table to start planting “all the plants.” I smiled and reminded her that it was a little too wet right now, but the sun would be back soon.

This made me think of a quote I read recently:

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children.” – Native American Proverb 

I love that my girls have such an appreciation for being outside, playing in the garden and being good stewards of our planet.

This is also something I try to honor inside my business as well…. Plantable seed cards, plastic free packaging, printing on paper produced by 100% hydro power (French Paper Co), reusing and recycling boxes & packaging materials
